Sustainability
The Caddis Rapid 6 lands at the bottom of our car camping tent sustainability ratings. It does not incorporate any recycled, Bluesign-approved, or solution-dyed materials, and its durable water-repellent (DWR) treatment contains PFAS. While the tent receives an average longevity rating thanks to its reasonably durable fabrics and construction, it fails to meet any of our core product-level sustainability criteria.
Unfortunately, there is no available information about Caddis’s brand-level sustainability efforts. We were unable to confirm whether the company tracks its greenhouse gas emissions, uses recycled or reduced packaging, or participates in responsible manufacturing programs. Caddis has not published an annual impact report, and the company did not respond to our inquiries. Without publicly available information or contact with the brand, the Rapid 6 remains a poor choice for a sustainable tent.
Below we break down in detail all of the Rapid's sustainability attributes at the product and brand level, including links to in-depth articles on relevant topics. For more, see our guide to the best camping tents and our review of the Rapid.
