Sarah Von Hoene is a field ecologist and science educator who splits her time between Boulder, Colorado and the U.S. Virgin Islands. After earning a degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Colorado, Boulder, she focused her efforts in marine biology, becoming certified as a technical diver and working in the field as a Coral Disease and Restoration Specialist. A surfer, ultrarunner, and photographer, Sarah is a passionate outdoor enthusiast who understands the connection between gear and the environment.
