Matt Hage is a photographer and lifelong Alaskan who grew up near Fairbanks and now makes his home in the Chugach Mountains above Anchorage. He and his family travel extensively in their Airstream trailer, homeschooling their son along the way. An avid climber and skier since his teens, Matt has nine ascents of Denali (one in winter), first ski descents in the Brooks Range, and skiing stints in British Columbia, Japan, Iceland, and Kashmir under his belt — though Southcentral Alaska remains his favorite. When he's not on skis or rock, he's packrafting, running rivers, or chasing barely-there trails to places he's never been.
