gear tester & photographer
Ben Spiers graduated from Montana State University with degrees in conservation biology and plant science. He recently moved to Tucson, Arizona to work as a Vegetation Monitoring Biotechnician for the national park units in the area—a job that allows him to spend ample time camping and hiking off-trail. Ben's favorite outdoor activities include climbing and ski touring, and he’s always hankering to spend time in the Eastern Sierras or the North Cascades. In the summer of 2024, Ben (along with his friend Langdon), biked from central Washington to climb British Columbia’s Mt. Waddington, an extremely impressive feat of both logistics and fortitude that you can read about here.
