Agnes Hage has called Alaska home for more than half her life, although these days she, her husband, and their son spend much of their time roaming in a 27-foot Airstream, chasing seasons, snow, adventure, and good light—while always returning north for winter. A self-described “Jill of all trades” in the outdoors, Agnes moves fluidly between paddling, climbing, skiing, biking, and fly fishing, with a clear preference for off-the-map routes and slightly questionable adventures. Her version of normal includes skiing Alaskan volcanoes, rerouting flights to chase snow in Kashmir, getting engaged on Denali (and married in Hawaii), kayaking across Prince William Sound, and floating the Yukon River for a summer. She’s also lived out of a Chevy Tahoe for a year (and insists she “lived in Tahoe”), climbed the South Face of the Mooses Tooth, and even gave birth in four hours, home-to-home.
